For those of you who drive in through Gateshead
or from the A1 Western ByPass, you will now
be able to avoid queues across the River
- and wasting petrol and overheating the
engine.
You have no doubt noticed that pedestrians
cross the River often quicker than the traffic
!
Now is your chance to avoid that frustration
– and have a short 5 minute walk !
As identified by a recent independent survey
reported by the RAC and carried out on behalf of NCP, British
drivers spend as much as a year of their
lives looking for a place to park - with
Newcastle being the forth most difficult
city in the UK - behind London, Birmingham
and Glasgow.
The survey also showed that 44% of people
have "lost" their vehicles- forgetting
where they parked, and 50% have tried looking
for their car on wrong floors and sections
of multi-storey car parks !
